Meereenese Valyrian Grammar
David J. Peterson has not revealed as much about Meereenese Valyrian as he has about High Valyrian and Astapori Valyrian. Therefore much of the information here will be speculative. However, Meereenese Valyrian grammar is at its core very similar to that of Astapori Valyrian, the languages being in many respects more like two dialects than separate languages. However, Meereenese has undergone a series of dramatic sound changes compared to Astapori which affect the surface forms, merging many forms and creating a large number of homophones.
Unlike High Valyrian, but like Astapori Valyrian, nouns in Meereenese Valyrian belong to one of only two genders (celestial and terrestrial) that have no relationship to sexual gender. Most humans are of the celestial gender, however, they can be either feminine or masculine. E.g. both wal "man" and avra "woman" are of celestial gender. They can inflect for one of two grammatical numbers (singular and plural).
