Noalath

Etymology

Univerbation of ba len.

Pronunciation

IPA(key): /blɛn/

Conjunction

blen

  1. while, as
Blen hi zhos morach, ad an ngar yonye.
So long as one seeks a master, one is destined to be a slave.
-Bandon (The Shannara Chronicles, Episode 208)

Preposition

blen

  1. (temporal) during, in, for (assigns the genitive case)

Creation and Usage Notes

This word was coined in honor of my friend Blaine. Not a very interesting word, I warrant, but I likely coined it because I knew it was going to be used in the episode. Sometimes it matters more to get it on screen than have it be interesting. Plus, I'd already coined a good one for him.
