Creation and Usage Notes
I'm pretty sure I created this word just to be able to finish translating the phrase book for The Art of Language Invention. I do have a vague memory of needing a word for "convergence", but it evidently didn't end up in the final script...
Checking up, I did need a word for "convergence" at some point. I had a totally different one (a fake one, I think, when I was planning out the sound), but at some point I decided to create a word to honor Kevin Murphy, show runner of Defiance. I wouldn't have done that unless I thought the word was going to be used. So weird... Anyway, what that means is this word was coined earlier, and the secondary sense was added later on when I was writing The Art of Language Invention. -David J. Peterson 17:27, 31 January 2020 (PST) |
