Shadow and Bone is a fantasy television series from Netflix that ran from 2021 to 2023. It is an adaptation of the trilogy of books of the same name by Leigh Bardugo. It features a number of constructed languages:
- Ravkan, created by David J. Peterson.
- Fjerdan, created by David J. Peterson and Christian Thalmann.
- Zemeni, created by David J. Peterson and Jessie Peterson.
- Shu, created by Jessie Peterson with assistance from David J. Peterson.
Additionally, a sketch of the Kerch language was developed by David J. Peterson, but it was not featured in the series. Loanwords into other languages have also been noted as coming from the Kaelish language.
