Dothraki
Etymology
From Proto-Plains *a-.
Prefix
a-
- Used to form causative verbs; causes gemination of a following consonant. If the base verb begins with consonant, that consonant is geminated and the a- prefix is inserted before the geminate. If it begins with a vowel, the first consonant after the initial vowel in the verb is geminated, and the a- vowel is not attached.
- dothralat (“to ride”) → addothralat (“to make ride”)
