Væyne Zaanics is a language co-created by David Peterson and Nina Post for the Cate Lyr Series of books. The language is an a priori conlang, both in universe and out of universe. In universe, it was created jointly by Bernard Severn, Thomas Lyr, and Isabelle Lyr—characters from the book The Zaanics Deceit. The name of the language is undetermined, as the final vowel was lost.
