Creation and Usage Notes
I wrote out tsotskai tsotskai here, but that was wrong. Both [t] and [ts] come out as [tʃ] when the diminutive -ka is added. What a travesty. Devastating. Errors are like Credence Clearwater Revival songs: they're far too great in number, and their very existence tears at my soul with steely claws.
Update: I'm going to leave the above since it says something true about Credence Clearwater Revival, but tsotskai is, in fact, wrong—not because of palatalization, but because it's actually a different suffix. My bad there. -David J. Peterson 00:20, 6 May 2024 (PDT) |
