Well, well, well! If it isn't me making yet another mistake!
This, of course, should be haoi. What's even the point of having a dead vowel in the proto-language if you don't use it? I set this up on purpose—you even see it in haohio! Ugh. How embarrassing. Of course, you can say it's irregular, but that's a total copout. It makes no sense here. It certainly wouldn't be analogized away with a word like haohio sitting there. Blech. Just awful.
