Pronunciation

IPA(key): /ʔiː˥˩zen˥/

'íìzén (magic class, plural 'íìzénká)

  1. aura

Creation and Usage Notes

I remember being quite proud of this coinage, which is based on the verbal root íìzén, meaning "to know or be aware of." Turning that verb into a magic-class noun results in this noun meaning "aura." For me, one of the coolest things about working on this language was being able to step into the frame of mind that magic is not only unquestionably real but is very much present, and I wanted to make sure the vocabulary of the language reflected magical nuances in the world around us/them. And this word felt magical to me.
