Etymology

From Proto-Castithan *-u + epenthetic [l].

Suffix

-lu (vocative form)

  1. occurs with both nominal and verbal stems (used for direct address or commands as well as in non-finite contexts; used only with stems that end in long vowels, or in diphthongs that end in [i] or [u])
