Veda

Etymology

From Proto-Veda *swn.

Pronunciation

IPA(key): /sun/

Orthographic Form

sun

Verb

sun (perfective sun nǝkh, progressive gǝn sun, inceptive/passive yu sun)

  1. to cut, slice

Creation and Usage Notes

This may have been inspired by Sun Wukong (or Monkey) from Journey to the West. It's hard to imagine it wouldn't be, but cutting isn't really integral to his character (I mean, he's a violent fellow, but he uses his as-you-will cudgel, which bludgeons rather than slices).
