Kerch is an abugida, primarily used as a cipher to write English, which was created by David J. Peterson for the Netflix series Shadow and Bone. Cipher-text English written in the script is used on the island of Kerch in the show as a stand-in for the Kerch language, which has not been extensively fleshed out.
