Leigh Bardugo is the author of the Grisha Trilogy and many other books. David and Leigh have been friends since 2011, when they ran into each other at Renovation. David helped out with the odd language question here or there for her books, and they finally got to work together on the Netflix adaptation of the Grisha Trilogy, Shadow and Bone.
