The Kerch script is an abugida, primarily used as a phonetic cipher for English. It was created by David J. Peterson for the Netflix series Shadow and Bone. English text written in the script is used on the island of Kerch in the show as a stand-in for the Kerch language, which has not been extensively fleshed out. Ostensibly, the script would be used to write the Kerch language as well.
