Essos

Essos is a continent to the east of Westeros in the A Song of Ice and Fire universe. Notably, it is home to the Dothraki and High Valyrian languages, as well as the descendants of the latter. Other languages, such as Lhazareen and Asshai'i, are also spoken on the continent.
