This templates indicates that a word is a univerbation and links to the glossary section explaining the term. It is used in etymology sections. It places the entry in a language-specific subcategory of Category:Univerbations by language.
Parameters
1=
- The language code (see Project:Languages) of the language this term appears in.
2=
,3=
,4=
,5=
- The terms that were used to form the univerbation.
sc=
- A script code (see Project:Scripts) to override the default if necessary.
nocap=1
- Show the initial text with a lowercase initial letter.
notext=1
- Omit the initial text altogether. The first thing displayed will be the first term in the univerbation.
nocat=1
- Do not categorize the entry. This should be used when mentioning univerbations in languages other than the current language.
The following parameters are available for each matching term in the numbered/positional parameters. The N
must be replaced by the corresponding term index. For example, for the second part (positional parameter 3), use 2 for N
. Most of these parameters correspond directly to the equivalent parameters in the standard {{l}}
(and {{m}}
) template.
altN=
- The alternative display form. Equivalent to the second parameter of
{{l}}
. tN=
- A gloss/translation to show after the term. Equivalent to the third parameter of
{{l}}
. The parameterglossN=
is deprecated for this purpose. trN=
- The transliteration, as in
{{l}}
. posN=
- The part of speech label to show after the term, as in
{{l}}
.
Examples
The entry partout might have in its etymology
{{univerbation|fr|par|tout}}
yielding
- Univerbation of par + tout
The entry почему́ (počemú) might have in its etymology
{{univerbation|ru|по|t1={{wt|according to}}|чему́}}, dative singular of {{m|ru|что}}.
yielding
- Univerbation of по (po, “according to”) + чему́ (čemú), dative singular of что (što).
