Lyman Frank Baum was the author of the Oz books, upon which the NBC series Emerald City was (quite loosely) based. David created two languages, Inha and Munja'kin, for the series. David was a huge fan of the original Oz books, and was a bit dismayed that Emerald City was intended to be a less than faithful, "sexy" adaptation.
