High Valyrian

Etymology

From an invisible proto-language
The etymology of this word comes from an invisible proto-language. If you're confident you know the etymology, feel free to add it, but reader beware should the etymology be added by someone other than the creator of the language!

Pronunciation

(Classical) IPA(key): /daːriˈlaros/

Noun

dārilaros (second declension solar, plural dārilarossa)

  1. heir to the throne.
  2. crown prince, crown princess.

Creation and Usage Notes

Although a verb is not attested, the ending -ilaros seems to relate to the active future participle. This makes it sound as "someone who is to rule".
