Creation and Usage Notes
You ever regret a sound change because of how much work it forces you to do? Because I do. A lot.
Stupid diphthongs... None of these are right, by my original conception. Every gae and gai should be gäi, which is cool, I guess. On the other hand, it occurred to me that this was quite a natural way to get that elusive triple length. That is, ga is different from gaa which itself is different from the gaa that resulted from original *gaha. The latter, in fact, gives you that Estonian falling tone plus length quite naturally.
