Creation and Usage Notes

Based on other words created by Sapkowski, it seems likely that the oia sequence is pronounced [wa], which is what gives rise to the pronunciation I used in Hen Linge. For whatever reason, the show still pronounces it as if it were pronounced the way it was spelled—at least when they're speaking in English. Whenever the word is used in Hen Linge, they pronounce it as I intended. I don't think either pronunciation is very suitable, but perhaps it sounds better to a Polish speaker.
