The Hen Linge language is written with the Hen Wökina alphabet. The Hen Wökina are unicameral and written horizontally from left to right.

Many Hen Linge words have spellings not matching their pronunciations, and many Hen Wökina have inconsistent pronunciations, it is therefore challenging to correctly read and write Hen Linge.
