While working on expanding the vocabulary, I had a list of proto-forms I wanted to use, and the form *uit was on that list. Through phonological changes, *uit became this cute little word that I happened to assign to the meaning "puddle," whose plural form just happened to be wíz, which made both David and me laugh.
