Creation and Usage Notes

On Defiance (second season, I think), there was this scene where Rynn had been captured and was being transported in an armored vehicle with someone else. They asked for like a key, or something, and she responds, as nearly as I can tell, with the word [ˈbɔ.nɪdʒ]. She was supposed to be speaking Irathient, but it wasn't a word I had created (at least not at that point). Anyway, after she says that, whoever's with her searches through her bra and finds a key (or something that will help them get the cuffs off). I thought this was a pretty funny adlib, so I had Irathient borrow English "bondage" into Irathient to mean "bra" in the Earth sense. Later on during season 6 of The 100, I got this line to translate, and I was like, "I know what word needs to be here..." Heh, heh, heh... -David J. Peterson 23:24, 20 October 2023 (PDT)
