Creation and Usage Notes

As we were coming up with Engála's pronouns during episode 110 of LangTime Studio, we hit upon an incredible idea for the first person plural pronoun. We would use a shortening of the word ungwéda which means "warren" (as in a rabbit warren). I went through the process of shortening the word via regular morphological lenition and ended up with [we], which coincidentally looks exactly like the first person plural pronoun of English. A viewer on our stream (user name LightDhampire) came up with a name for this: Serendipitous Convergent Linguistic Evolution. To turn this into a proper word, I added "We" to the end of it (as a reminder of what word led to the word's creation), and thus was born the term SCLEW.
